PROBLEMS DURING REGISTRATION

To which number must I send an SMS?

If it's the first time that you're using LoveSMS, then simply send a SMS with the keyword "LOVE" in the message body to 082 002 5030 (Vodacom and MTN subscribers). Now, you're hooked up to Love SMS.

How can I check what I put in my personal profile?

Make sure that you have completed the registration process. Then, to view your virtual identity, send the command "PRO". If you want to modify your information, send the command "MOD" and voila…

If I exit the service by sending "ESC" and then decide to re-enter, does my identity remain valid?

Nope, you'll have start the process again- register and then give your information again.

PROBLEMS AFTER REGISTRATION

I've finished with the registration process, now what?

You can roll with it right away and start finding someone by sending the command "SEA".

How can I find other users?

All you have to do is send the command "SEA" and you'll receive the identities of other users- one at a time. Each time you want to receive a new identity, you must send the command "SEA".

Remember that to connect with someone, you have to be registered to LoveSMS, and not be in pause mode.

What do I do when I find somebody that I like?

Send the command "CON", and the other user will receive your virtual identity. If the other user wants to respond, they will then initiate a conversation with you. Happy chatting!

I tried to contact a user but I received a message stating that he or she has to wait for a response from another user. What's going on?

Please remember that you can send a maximum of 2 consecutive messages to the same user without having first received his or her response. You need to wait for their response before you can send a third SMS. If you decide not to wait for a response, send "END", closing the conversation and begin looking for another user.

I tried to contact a person whom I liked but they did not respond. What do I do?

It's important to bear in mind that nobody, including you has any obligation to respond to an SMS.

I received a virtual identity of a user, but I don't wish to respond- now what?

At any moment you choose, you can end the conversation with a particular user. If you don't want to initiate or continue a conversation, send the command "END". Consequently, the other user will be notified that you don't want to speak to them if they try to contact you again.

Can I speak to more than one user at a time?

No, you can only exchange SMS's with one user at a time- this means that you won't be able to be contacted or contact other users at the same time. If you're in a conversation with a user, you'll have to first end the exchange by sending "END". Then, you can send the command "SEA" to search for another person.

How do I use the commands?

You need to send a text that corresponds with the command. For example, if you want to use the command "SEA", send an SMS containing "SEA". Please refer to the COMMANDS page for the complete list of commands and their meanings.
